Hwayoung states she is a victim of dating violence in her relationship with LJ

On August 24, actress Hwayoung held an exclusive interview with news outlet Sports Kyeonghyang, as buzz surrounding entertainer LJ's SNS photos taken with Hwayoung continued to stir up the media.

Hwayoung stated in her interview, "I got to know LJ about a year ago. He was so nice to me that I asked him if he liked me, but he answered 'no' so I thought he was treating me like a little sister. However, about 2 months ago, he confessed to me and seeing truth in his kindness from the past year, we decided to take some time to consider our relationship without minding outer appearances, only our feelings. However, not long after, he began showing his hidden, violent side as well as his obsessive personality, and so in just on week, I told him we should remain acquaintances."

"I comforted him and tried to remain friends, but he kept fasting or threatening to commit suicide, and then resorted to threatening me with 'I'm going to call the news reporters'. My twin sister Hyoyoung even took LJ's side when I said he was threatening me, so it wasn't easy for me," Hwayoung confessed.

Afterward, Hwayoung said that LJ entered her house without permission. "In the early morning of August 22, I drew a stern line in our relationship, but he continued showing signs of violent behavior. He forcefully took my cell phone and entered my house without permission, so I had no choice but to yell and protect myself. People started gathering around us, then the police came and sent him home, but the next day, he posted those photos on Instagram."

Furthermore, "LJ sent me a threatening text message saying, 'If we release an official statement that we have been dating for 2 years, then I will stop'. But I've only known him for a year, the time period we spent considering a relationship was only a week, and then he made me suffer for the past 2 months."

Hwayoung also confessed that LJ took photos of her in a swimsuit without permission. Finally, the actress relayed, "I spent so many days alone and in tears, suffering from selfish love and threats. Even so, I brought out my courage in order to reveal the truth, so that I do not receive unfair treatment. I don't know who would even understand my perspective of not wanting to admit to such a brief relationship full of fear, to the point where I could not think of him as normal, but I'm displaying courage. I will not stay silent and be victimized any longer."

GACKT stars as 18 year old in “Tonde Saitama” live adaptation

All singing all dancing GACKT will be starring in the live adaptation of Tonde Saitama (翔んで埼玉) due to come out on February 22, 2019. The manga was originally written by Mineo Maya and the story has a similar theme to Romeo and Juliet, where the two main characters Momomi Dannoura from Tokyo and Rei Asami who is secretly from Saitama, cross paths and are captivated by one another. So far there’s not very much released, apart from a short trailer with a tiny slither of GACKT’s appearance. He’s at 17 seconds in for the impatient:

https://youtu.be/HoX79t7D9Ho

Hideki Takeuchi, the director behind the live-action release of Nodame Cantabile and Thermae Romae will be taking charge of directing. If you’ve seen these two films, you’ll know that you’re in for a treat. If you haven’t, I highly recommend you check both these films out if you enjoy comedy.

GACKT commented:

“When I had this offer, I thought “This is an impossible task right?” However, because I’ve been a big fan of Maya sensei’s work for a long time, I had no choice but to do this work. [laughs]

To be honest, I don’t feel like I’m a high school student at this age, but since this story itself is a manga with a fantasy setting, it felt like the impossible was possible. I look forward to co-starring with Fumi-chan.”

Funimation Offers The Highschool Life of a Fudanshi for Digital Purchase

The television anime of Atami Michinoku's The Highschool Life of a Fudanshi (Fudanshi Kōkō Seikatsu) manga is now available for digital purchase in Japanese on both Amazon and the iTunes Store from FUNimation Entertainment.

Funimation offers several shows — including Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei!!, The Lost Village, Hitori no Shita - the outcast, and Sound! Euphonium — as digital purchases only, and has not released these titles on home video or via its FunimationNow streaming service.

The anime adaptation premiered in July 2016 and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.

The comedy depicts the daily life of Sakaguchi, a high school boy and also a "fudanshi" who loves boys-love stories. Fudanshi is a wordplay on fujoshi (literally, "rotten girls") — the slang for women who love boys-love/yaoi stories.

Toshikatsu Tokoro (Moeyo Ken, Soul Link) directed the anime at EMT Squared (Kumamiko) and Chika Ishida designed the characters. Nobuyuki Abe directed the sound at Dax Production. Dream Creation produced the anime. Hatano performed the show's theme song "Sekai wa Boy Meets Boy" (The World is Boy Meets Boy) as his character Sakaguchi.

The manga launched on Ichijinsha's web site Zero-Sum Online in May 2015, and Ichijinsha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume in September 2017. Seven Seas licensed the manga and released the third volume in January. The company will release the fourth volume on November 27.
