[ALEXANDROS] Rock Band Goes on Asian Tour
Japanese rock band [ALEXANDROS] announced on Tuesday that it will go on tour in June on July, with concert venues in Shanghai, Beijing, Jakarta, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Taipei. The schedule is as follows:

Assassin's Pride Anime Reveals EMT Squared as Animation Studio, 2019 TV Premiere
Kadokawa opened a website and Twitter account for the anime of Kei Amagi's Assassins Pride light novel series on Thursday. The site reveals that EMT Squared (The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar, Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear) is animating the series for airing this year. They also posted a new visual.

The series takes place in a world where only those from noble families have the mana to be able to fight against monsters. Kūfa is a noble born to a duke's family who is sent to tutor a young woman named Merida. If it turns out that Merida has no talent with mana, Kūfa is secretly instructed to assassinate her.
Amagi launched the novels will illustrations by Nino Ninomoto in 2016. Kadokawa published the ninth novel volume on January 19. A separate short story collection shipped in February 2018.
Yoshie Katō (Shindere Shōjo to Kodoku na Shinigami) launched a manga adaptation in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in May 2017. The manga's third compiled volume shipped last November.

2nd Made in Abyss Compilation Film Opens in U.S. on May 27
Sentai Filmworks announced on Tuesday that it will screen Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight (Made in Abyss: Hōrō Suru Tasogare), the second Made in Abyss compilation anime film, in theaters in the United States beginning on May 27. Bonus features with the screening will include behind-the-scenes content and interviews.
Anime Central will host the U.S. premiere of the film at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois on May 17. The premiere will include a red-carpet event, and director Masayuki Kojima, music producer Hiromitsu Iijina, and composer Kevin Penkin will attend a Q&A session.

Sentai Filmworks premiered the first compilation film, Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn, in at Regal Cinema (L.A. LIVE) in Los Angeles on March 15 before it opened in theaters on March 20 and 25. The company hosted a red-carpet event at the premiere with Kojima, Iijima, Penkin, and producer Shinpei Yamashita as guests.
The first film, Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn (Made in Abyss: Tabidachi no Yoake), opened in Japan on January 4, followed by the second film on January 18.
Gekijōban Made in Abyss: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei (Made in Abyss the Movie: Dawn of the Deep Soul), the new anime film in the franchise, will open in Japan in January 2020.

'Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai' Manga Bundles OVA
The 24th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump of 2019 revealed on Monday that Taishi Tsutsui's Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai (We Never Learn) manga will receive an original video animation. The new episode will be included with the manga's 14th limited edition volume, shipping on November 1. Pre-orders for the limited edition volume will be accepted through August 26.
The 25-minute episode will adapt chapters 48 and 49, which follow Yuiga and Asami going on a fake date, and Yuiga encountering his teacher Mafuyu Kirisu after she accidentally loses her swimsuit top. The volume retailing for 4444 yen (about US$41) will also include an illustration card for the Precious Memories trading card game drawn by Tsutsui.
The romantic comedy manga began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2017, with 11 volumes in print as of April 4. Shueisha will publish the 12th compiled volume on June 4. The series has a cumulative 2.3 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation.
The television anime adaptation produced by Silver and Arvo Animation premiered on April 7. Aniplex of America licensed the anime, and is simulcasting the series on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.

Viz Media revealed cast members for Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars on its Twitter account on Monday. The company will release part one, which contains 17 episodes out of a total of 34, on a DVD, a Blu-ray and DVD combo, and a limited edition on June 18.

Kodansha Comics USA is currently releasing the 12-volume reprint of the original manga and will ship volume four on May 14.

Gero×Araki Perform To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts Anime's Ending Theme
The official website for the television anime of Maybe's to the abandoned Sacred Beasts (Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e) manga revealed on Thursday that Gero×ARAKI will perform the show's ending theme song "HHOOWWLL."
The anime will premiere in July on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11.

Fujisawa Plans to Resume GTO: Paradise Lost Manga
Manga creator Tohru Fujisawa announced on Wednesday that he will resume his GTO: Paradise Lost manga in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine after he finishes the two chapters of his Re: Animal Joe manga.
Fujisawa put the manga on hiatus after finishing its first part. He put the manga on hiatus due to a staff shortage, and said that once he can set it up so he can publish the manga weekly again, he will resume the series.
Fujisawa launched the spinoff of his GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) manga in Weekly Young Magazine in April 2014. Kodansha published the manga's 11th compilerd book volume in January 2018.
Crunchyroll previously offered the manga online, including the latest chapters as they came out in Japan, but the company ceased offering catalog chapters of the title last year. Kodansha Comics also publishes the manga digitally in English.
Tokyopop and Vertical published the various GTO manga titles, including GTO: The Early Years, in North America. The original manga inspired a television anime, as well as several live-action adaptations.
Fujisawa also plans to launch his Red Data Planet manga with co-creator Iomaru in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine starting on July 12.

The game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan on June 27, and in the West in June. The Nintendo Switch and PC versions will follow in winter 2019. The arcade version of the game will debut this summer.
The game will have three new playable fighters: Darli Dagger, Wu-Ruixiang, and Yashamaru Kurama. SNK is developing the game using Unreal Engine 4. The game will have Japanese audio with subtitles in English, Japanese, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Pan-American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
The game will be set between the events of the original game and Samurai Shodown V. The game's fighters will include the following characters from previous games in the franchise: Haōmaru, Nakoruru, Earthquake, Galford, Hanzo Hattori, Tam Tam, Kyoshiro Senryo, Jubei Yagyu, Ukyo Tachibana, Charlotte, Genjuro Kibagami, Shiki, and Yoshitora Tokugawa. More characters will debut after the game's launch as DLC.
The fighting game series launched in 1993. The most recent game in the franchise, Samurai Shodown: Sen, launched for arcades in April 2008. The game later received a release for Xbox 360 in Japan in December 2009 and in North America in March 2010. SNK and Digital Eclipse will release a Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (via Steam) this fall.

Medabot Smartphone Game Unveils Title, Story
The official YouTube channel for Imagineer's Medabots (Medarot) franchise began streaming a video on Thursday that revealed that the franchise's new smartphone game is titled Medarot S: Unlimited Nova, and will debut sometime this fall or winter for iOS and Android in Japan.

The game's story begins when the protagonist (seen below) comes into possession of a Medabot through a certain incident. He joins the "Medalympics," a robot battle tournament where the winner gets to have one wish granted.

The first Medabots (Medarot) game inspired a television anime series by Bee Train in 1999, and a sequel series titled Medarot Damashii (Medabots Spirits) in 2000. ADV licensed the series in North America, and Nelvana produced a dub for the first series, which aired in the Fox Kids network in 2001, before moving to ABC Family. Medabots Spirits aired on ABC Family in 2003.
Delta Arts, the studio behind many of the recent Medabots games, shut down in April 2016.

Square Enix Announces Paid DLC for Kingdom Hearts III Game
News website Famitsu confirmed on Thursday that game director Tetsuya Nomura announced at the "Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres-" concert in Tokyo on April 27 that Square Enix is developing paid DLC for the Kingdom Hearts III game.
Nomura stated that the DLC is temporarily titled "Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND." The DLC will have a new scenario temporarily titled "ReMIND," a "limit cut episode" and boss fight, and a secret episode and boss fight. The DLC in Japan will also offer the option to switch to the English dub of the game. Nomura did not reveal a release period or price for the paid DLC, but stated that the DLC will be available as a set.
Nomura also announced that there will be a free DLC that will include a new keyblade and form change that will release around the same time as the paid DLC.
Nomura added that he will reveal more information "around the time it rains a lot." Japan's rainy season on the main Honshu island starts around early June and ends in mid-July.
Square Enix released a patch for the game on April 24 that added a Critical Mode, a new game plus option, a higher photo gallery limit, and more.
Square Enix released the game on January 25 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on January 29 in the West. The game had shipped more than 5 million copies worldwide, including digital sales, as of February 5, and is the fastest-selling title in the history of the franchise.
Shiro Amano is drawing a manga based on the game, and he launched the manga on April 29.

Sentai Filmworks Releases Sakura Wars, Orphen TV Anime on BD
Sentai Filmworks and Section23 Films announced on Tuesday that Sentai Filmworks will release the Sakura Wars television anime and the Sorcerous Stabber Orphen television anime on Blu-ray Disc. The company will also re-release the Waiting in the Summer anime on Blu-ray Disc with an English dub.
The Sakura Wars Blu-ray Disc release is slated for August 13, while both Sorcerous Stabber Orphen and Waiting in the Summer are slated for August 20.
Section23 Films also announced that Maiden Japan's Blu-ray Disc release of the Battle Programmer SHIRASE anime will ship on August 6. Sentai Filmworks' Blu-ray Disc release of the Devils' Line anime is slated for August 27. Sentai Filmworks will also release a new "Steelbook Edition" for The Big O anime on August 20.
Sentai Filmworks released Sakura Wars on DVD in 2009, and again in 2016. The company also released Sorcerous Stabber Orphen on DVD in 2009 and 2011, and released a subtitled-only version of Waiting in the Summer on Blu-ray Disc in 2016.

'Try Knights' TV Anime Reveals Additional Cast Members
The official website of the television anime adaptation of Chizuka Erisawa and Shunsaku Yano's Try Knights rugby manga announced three additional cast members on Thursday. The anime series produced by Gonzo, in cooperation with the Japan Rugby Football Union, will begin airing in Summer 2019.
