DADAROMA’s last live before hiatus invites digital audience
DADAROMA performed its last live show today on May 20 before entering a second hiatus. This concludes the “DADAROMA ONE MAN TOUR ‘POINT OF NO RETURN’”, a tour that would otherwise have had its tour final on April 14, but canceled due to coronavirus. Because of the circumstances, the band didn’t want to just leave things as is and decided to hold a livestream, inviting everyone to join their show digitally.
While the band was great on stage, we can’t help but notice the difference from the crazy and energetic DADAROMA concerts we’ve attended in the past. It was a bit tamer, and as you might have guessed, this is mainly due to the fact that no one physically attended the show—they performed in an empty venue! Despite that, drummer Ryohei mentioned during the stream how he felt a bit nervous at first but after getting into it, it was just like any other show.
The performance lasted for about an hour and after a 10-minute intermission, the band returned to give their closing thoughts, talking about the recent single Mr. Terror Man, and experience in Europe.

The livestream happened to coincide with vocalist Yoshiatsu’s birthday too, so the staff decided to surprise him with a cake. During one of the MC’s, vocalist Yoshiatsu even mentioned how sad it was to enter hiatus on his birthday in a jokingly manner.
The staff member also asked some casual questions such as “How have you been doing lately?” which caused the band to burst into laughter considering how the whole world is in a state of chaos. They later transition into talking about everyday life such as cooking, neat things they recently bought, and so on.
Before ending the livestream, each member shared a few appreciative words to the fans while also commenting on how the live show today was a good experience even if it was under unusual circumstances. At the very end, Yoshiatsu reiterated that even the band members have no idea how things will pan out and that they can’t promise anything.
All we can do now is to cross our fingers and hopefully wait for some good news.
